Southeast Missouri State senior third baseman Trenton Moses picked up another preseason honor Monday when he was named a second-team preseason All-American by CollegeBaseballInsider.com.
Moses, an Advance High School graduate, was named a third-team Louisville Slugger preseason All-American in December. He was also voted the Ohio Valley Conference preseason player of the year last week.
Moses was a third-team Louisville Slugger All-American and the OVC player of the year last season when he batted .395 with 11 home runs, 14 doubles, a triple, 53 RBIs, 44 runs scored, a .672 slugging percentage and .502 on-base percentage.
Moses, a starter since his freshman season, ranked second in the OVC in batting average, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. He was fourth in home runs per game and RBIs per game. He was 14th nationally in on-base percentage.
Southeast opens the season 3 p.m. Friday at Dallas Baptist.
