Southeast Missouri State track and field athlete Reggie Miller set a school record over the weekend at the SIU Saluki Open in Carbondale, Ill.
Miller, a sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., broke Southeast's indoor high jump mark as he won the event with a height of 7 feet 1/4 inch.
Southeast picked up one other victory at the Saluki Open, Blake Carter taking the title in the long jump (24-3 3/4). 
Carter was followed by Jackson High School graduate Blake Smith in second place (23-6 1/4).
Also for Southeast's men, Tyler Holmes finished fifth in the 800 meters (2 minutes, 3.88 seconds). Shane Brown was eighth in 800 (2:06.47), and Alexander Anderson placed eighth in the 200 (23.36).
Jessica Brown paced Southeast's women, tying for second place in the high jump (5-4 1/4). She was also eighth in the long jump (17-0 1/2).
Jerika Lewis was sixth in the 200 meters (25.42), Unique Hooks was sixth in the 60 hurdles (9.28), and Kim Moye finished seventh in the long jump (17-2).
