A daunting week faces the 2-5 Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team.
The Redhawks are coming off a 79-62 home loss to Western Illinois on Wednesday and now hit the road for four games in eight days.
Southeast kicks off its stretch of road games, which include a pair in Toledo, Ohio, for the Glass City Classic, against Central Arkansas at 2 p.m. Saturday in Conway, Arkansas.
The Sugar Bears (4-3) won 72-39 against Central Baptist on Thursday.
Their other wins this season have come against Jackson State, Lyon College and Alcorn State.
They lost to Western Kentucky as well as a pair of Ohio Valley Conference opponents. Eastern Kentucky defeated Central Arkansas 56-55 in the preseason WNIT and Jacksonville State won 63-54 on Tuesday.
Central Arkansas was third in the Southland Conference last season after posting a 12-6 conference record and going 18-12 overall.
Going into Thursday's night's game, sophomore guard Maggie Proffitt led Central Arkansas with 13.8 points per game. She led the team with 15 3-pointers in 41 attempts (36.6 percent) and was an 81.8 percent free-throw shooter.
Junior guard Kendara Watts and sophomore guard Brianna Mullins averaged 12.5 and 10.7 points, respectively.
Mullins had hit 8 of 23 (34.7) 3-pointers, while Watts had made 7 of 13 (53.8 percent) to make up the bulk of the Sugar Bears' outside threat.
Southeast's 3-point defense on the season has held opponents to 28.2 percent, but Western Illinois connected on 7 of 18 from behind the arc Wednesday. Meanwhile the Redhawks made just 2 of 18 attempts.
