The Southeast Missouri State men's and women's indoor track and field teams swept to a home victory against Memphis at the Redhawks Invite on Friday at the Student Recreation Center.

The men's team defeated the visiting Tigers 81-37 while the women's team won 72-41.

Junior Ayonna Cartwright posted a record-breaking performance for the Redhawk women, winning the 55-meter dash in 6.82 seconds to best the previous record of 6.94. She also won the 200-meter in 24.88 seconds.

Jackson graduate Blake Smith tied his school record of 6.19 seconds in the 60-yard dash.

Cartwright and Smith's times are the fastest in the OVC this season heading into the start of the conference meet on Friday.

Junior Cheyenne Tunti won the 400-meter dash in 57.68 seconds for the women while freshman Jarred Pasley (49.58) won on the men's side.

The Redhawks also swept the 800-meter races with junior Jovannie Spears (2:27.27) winning for the women and junior Cole Davis (1:56.83) winning for the men.

Southeast senior Rebekah Lawson won the 3,000-meter race in 11:09.37 while teammate Taylor Coffelt won the 55-meter hurdles in 8.43 seconds. Chris Navarro won the men's hurdles in 7.72 seconds.

Reggie Miller won the high jump, Central graduate Chris Martin claimed the triple jump title and Christian Locke won the pole vault by clearing 14 feet, 11 inches.

The Redhawks earned three throwing titles at the meet.

Kevin Farley won the men' shot put with a distance of 57 feet, 11 3/4 inches and the weight throw with a distance of 66-7. Kayla Gutierrez won the women's weight throw with a throw of 62-9 1/4.
