The Southeast Missouri State softball team split a doubleheader with Arkansas on Wednesday night. The Razorbacks (16-34) won Game 1 13-8 in five innings, but the Redhawks (16-25) bounced back to win Game 2 4-3 in eight innings. Southeast jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first in Game 1, but Arkansas scored five times in the bottom of the inning and never trailed. The Southeast Missouri State softball team split a doubleheader with Arkansas on Wednesday night.

The Razorbacks (16-34) won Game 1 13-5 in five innings, but the Redhawks (16-25) bounced back to win Game 2 4-3 in eight innings.

Southeast jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first in Game 1, but Arkansas scored five times in the bottom of the inning and never trailed. It added a run in the third, five in the fourth and two more in the fifth for the run-rule victory.

Keaira Schilling started and pitched 3 2/3 innings for Southeast. She allowed 11 runs -- nine earned -- on 12 hits. Aubrey Denno pitched the final inning, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and two walks.

Riley Hayes had a hit and two RBIs for Southeast. Lindsey Patterson was 2 for 3 with a run scored.

Freshman pitcher Madeline Krumrey went all eight innings of Game 2 to get the win for the Redhawks. She allowed three runs -- two earned -- on five hits with four strikeouts and three walks.

Southeast scored twice in the top of the first to take another early lead. Arkansas tied it with two in the bottom of the sixth before the Redhawks scored twice more in the top of the eighth.

The Razorbacks mustered a run in the bottom of the eighth, but Krumrey closed it out.

Southeast's Kayla Fortner, Savannah Carpenter, Hayes and Meaghan Touchette each had an RBI in the win, which was the Redhawks' first over an SEC school since 2007.
