Southeast Missouri State soccer and volleyball players picked up Ohio Valley Conference weekly honors.
Redhawks junior Valeria Jarmillo was named the OVC Defender of the Week and freshman goalkeeper Kindra Lierz was named Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday.
Southeast sophomore setter Katarina Rotta was named the OVC Setter of the Week on Monday.
Rotta had 78 assists over the weekend when the Redhawks volleyball team split a pair of conference games. She had a career-high 42 assists in a three-set sweep of Tennessee State on Friday night.
She had five kills, a service ace, 19 digs and two block assists in the two matches.
Jaramillo and Lierz are part of a Southeast defense that has posted eight shutouts this season, including a couple over the weekend against Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State that put the Redhawks into position to claim a share of the OVC regular-season title and host the OVC tournament if they defeat SIU Edwardsville on the road Friday.
Jaramillo also had an assist in Friday's game against the TTU Golden Eagles.
Lierz, who leads the conference in shutouts, goals against average and save percentage, made three saves against JSU on Sunday.
