Southeast Missouri State soccer team sustains 1-0 loss in Colorado

The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team encountered its first loss of the season in shutout fashion Sunday against Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.

Juliana Grover scored in the 49th minute as the Bears emerged with a 1-0 victory.

It was one of seven shots on goal by Northern Colorado, which evened its record at 3-3. Grover, who accounted for four of those shots, scored early in the second half on a pass from Rebecca Lancia.

Goalkeeper Kindra Lierz made six saves for the Redhawks.

Southeast, which fell to 2-1, managed just two shots on goal.

The Redhawks will host Illinois State at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
