Junior forward Angie Mann helped the Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team break a three-game scoring drought with three goals in a 5-3 victory over Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, on Sunday night.

Southeast, which improved to 3-3-1, had been held scoreless in its three games since a 1-0 win over Evansville on Aug. 28.

The Redhawks broke out with a seaosn-high five goals.

Junior Christina Rohde sparked the scoring spree with her first goal of the season on a free kick in the 29th minute, and Mann upped the advantage to 2-0 seven minutes later when she scored off a rebound.

Southeast increased its lead to 4-0 with two goals in the first seven minutes of the second half. Junior Kaitlin Kuznacic scored before Mann netted her second.

Things got interesting as Lynn (0-3-1) tallied the next three goals. Brianna Lemerise netted a pair of goals before an own goal by the Redhawks with five minutes left in the game.

Mann restored order with her third goal, off a penalty kick, in the 88th minute. It was her team-high fifth goal of the season.

The Redhawks were outshot 13-12. Southeast sophomore goalkeeper Alyssa Sickler made three saves in her first start of the season.

The Redhawks will host Arkansas State on Friday.
