An impressive two games for the Southeast Missouri State soccer team resulted in Ohio Valley Conference recognition.
Southeast won two of the OVC's three weekly awards that were announced by the league Tuesday.
Freshman forward Erin Shulman was named the OVC offensive player of the week, while sophomore Ashton Aubuchon earned goalkeeper of the week honors.
Shulman scored three of Southeast's six goals in two OVC victories. She had two goals in Friday's 3-1 win at Austin Peay and added a goal in Monday's 3-0 triumph at Murray State.
Shulman leads Southeast with eight goals, 16 points and three game-winning goals. She is tied for second in the OVC in goals, third in points and tied for first in game-winning goals.
Aubuchon turned aside 12 of the 13 shots she faced in the two games. She made six saves at Murray State to earn her third solo shutout of the season.
Aubuchon, the OVC goalkeeper of the week for the second time this season, is tied for first in the league in shutouts while leading in save percentage (.848) and ranking second in goals against average (0.78).
Southeast is 6-2-1 overall and 2-0 in OVC play. The Redhawks are tied for first place with Eastern Illinois and host the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Southeast, the only OVC cross country program to compete last week, swept the league's weekly awards.
Junior Max Wieser, a Saxony Lutheran High School graduate, is the OVC male runner of the week. He was Southeast's top finisher at Saturday's Saluki Invitational, placing 23rd.
Freshman Rebekah Lawson is the OVC female runner of the week after she led Southeast by finishing 22nd at the Saluki Invitational.
