The Southeast Missouri State gymnastics season ended Saturday at the NCAA South Central Regional in Norman, Okla.
Southeast's three representatives at the event failed to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Senior Christina Sundgren scored the highest in any event of the three. She closed her career with a 9.850 on bars, finishing in the top 15.
Sophomore Taylor Westrick scored a 38.125. Her highest individual scores came on bars and beam, 9.800 in both events.
Senior Brianna Gaddie ended her career by scoring a 9.725 on vault.
The Southeast women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 Ohio Valley Conference loss at Murray State on Saturday.
The Redhawks (1-9, 0-3) started with two straight singles wins, but the Racers (7-11, 3-2) won the other four singles and all three of the doubles.
Sophomore Nikole Novikova and freshman Elizabeth Nyenwe continued to perform well at the top of Southeast's lineup.
Both improved to 5-5 in singles play.
Novikova beat Cassidy Cunitz 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, while Nyenwe downed Ashley Canty 6-1, 6-4, at No. 2.
The Redhawks visit Jacksonville State on Monday.
The Southeast men's program is the recipient of the 2010-11 OVC Team Sportsmanship Award for indoor track and field.
The awards, voted on by the athletes and coaches of the respective sports, are given to the OVC squads deemed to have best exhibited the standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior as outlined by the OVC and NCAA.
This is the fifth year for the indoor track award and marks Southeast's first honor for that sport.
"We are very honored to be recognized by the OVC for sportsmanship," Southeast coach Eric Crumpecker said in a release. "We try to emphasize the importance of being first class no matter what the result on the field of competition may be."
