The Southeast Missouri State women's gymnastics team won a three-team meet against Texas Woman's University and Centenary College with a season-high score of 194.300 on Sunday in Denton, Texas.
Texas Woman's was second with 193.825, while Centenary finished at 190.435.
A pair of freshmen led the way for Southeast as Alyssa Tucker tied for first in the uneven bars and won all-around, while Ashley Thomas won the vault.
Thomas posted a 9.775 in the vault and senior teammate Taryn Vanderpool placed third (9.750) as the Redhawks finished with a 48.625 in the event.
Tucker posted a 9.825 in the uneven bars, helping the Redhawks to a 48.950 team score -- ninth-highest in school history.
Southeast posted a 47.850 in the balance beam, led by freshman Lauren Israel, who tied for second with a season-best 9.775.
The Redhawks scored 48.875 in the floor exercise. Tucker and freshman Chelsi Hamilton tied for third at 9.800.
Tucker claimed the all-around with a 38.850 total.
The Southeast softball squad dropped a pair of games Sunday in the Blues City Classic in Memphis.
The Redhawks lost 11-2 to Ball State and 6-1 to host Memphis to finish 1-3 in the weekend tournament and drop to 4-5 on the season.
Ball State (7-2) collected 15 hits in its victory, handing Southeast starter Aubrey Denno (2-1) her first loss of the season. Denno pitched 2 1/3 inning and yielded six hits and five runs. Three Redhawks pitchers followed Denno to the circle.
Ball State's Kelsey Schifferdecker recorded the win to improve to 4-0. She allowed seven hits.
Nicole Deering, Savannah Carpenter and Haylee Krack all had two hits for Southeast.
Southeast's offense mustered just four hits off Memphis' Ellen Roberts in the second game. Lindsey Patterson, who was named second-team all-tournament, had two of the hits for the Redhawks.
Memphis (7-5), which had seven hits in the game, struck for three runs in the first and added two runs in the third for a 5-0 lead.
Denno also took the loss against Memphis, allowing four hits and five earned runs in two-plus innings. Keaira Schilling allowed one run and three hits over the final five innings.
