The Southeast Missouri State football team will open its second season under coach Tom Matukewicz with a visit to two-time defending Southeastern Conference East Division champion Missouri.
The game was part of the Southeast schedules released Monday for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
The Redhawks, who finished 5-7 in Matukewicz's first season at the helm, will face Missouri on Sept. 5 in Columbia, Missouri.
Southeast then hosts regional rival Southern Illinois for Family Weekend on Sept. 12.
The Redhawks will play Indiana State, which finished last season ranked No.18/19 and reached the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, on the road Sept. 19.
Southeast will host Division II Shorter University, which is in Rome, Georgia, on Sept. 26 before beginning Ohio Valley Conference play.
"We are very excited about our upcoming 2015 schedule," Matukewicz said in the news release. "It features a very difficult non-conference schedule. Being able to open at Mizzou, the defending SEC East Champion, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our team."
