Southeast Missouri State sophomore Kevin McNab finished second in the men's race at the Eastern Illinois Panther Open on Friday in Charleston, Ill.
McNab covered the 8-kilometer course in 25 minutes, 7.82 seconds, less than 4 seconds behind Dennis-Bull Olinga of Missouri Baptist.
Southeast finished third as a team with 106 points. Southern Illinois, with the Nos. 3 through 5 finishers, topped the nine-team field with 36 points. EIU scored 91.
Southeast was fifth among the women's teams with 133 points. Nationally ranked Wisconsin won with a perfect score of 15. SIU was second with 68 and EIU third with 102.
Juli Koenegstein paced the Redhawks women with a 16th-place finish.
