The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer team wrapped up its three-game exhibition schedule by splitting a pair of contests at Houck Stadium.

Southeast bounced back from Friday night's 2-1 loss to Lipscomb with Saturday night's 7-0 rout of Division II Missouri S&T.

The Redhawks, who tied visiting Saint Louis University 0-0 Tuesday night, finished exhibition play with a 1-1-1 record. They open the season Friday at Nebraska.

"Our enthusiasm to play tonight was very good, especially considering we played our second night in a row," Southeast coach Heather Nelson said in a release. "Our freshmen are settling in very quickly and performing at a high level. They are positively impacting our program already and we are pleased with their play."

Freshman Natasha Minor and sophomore Storm French, a St. Vincent High School graduate, scored two goals apiece Saturday.

Sophomore Erin Shulman and senior Amy Ward each notched a goal and two assists.

Freshman Abby Klintworth also scored for the Redhawks, while junior Breana Beinie, freshman Kaitlin Kuznacic and freshman Jennifer Antonacci added assists.

The Redhawks wasted little time getting on the board as Minor scored off an assist from Shulman in the opening minute, giving Southeast its first lead of the exhibition season.

It was 4-0 at halftime and Southeast finished the game with an 18-5 edge in shots.

Freshman Lauren Meyer and senior Ashton Aubuchon shared the shutout in the nets. Meyer made two saves in the first half while Aubuchon stopped the only shot she faced in the final period.

Friday's loss to Lipscomb saw the visitors' Baylee Linnell score on two breakaways in the first 19 minutes.

The Redhawks got their lone goal with a little more than 17 minutes remaining as Shulman scored off an assist from Kuznacic.

Lipscomb had a 16-9 advantage in shots. Aubuchon allowed both goals while making three first-half saves. Meyer played the second half in the nets and recorded four saves, including several strong stops.
