SOUTHEAST EXTENDS WILLIAMS' INTERIM AD CONTRACT INTO '98

Southeast Missouri State University announced Monday it has extended the contract for interim athletic director Carol williams through June 30, 1998.

Williams has been serving as interim AD since March when Dr. Richard McDuffie resigned to accept a position as athletic director at Eastern Illinois University.

Williams, a 1959 graduate of Southeast, has been affiliated with the University for 42 yers. He has served as Southeast golf coach since 1991 and held the men's head basketball coaching position from 1975-1981.
