Track and fieldstaff adds Perry

Candace Perry, who competed in track at Southern Indiana and Indiana University, has joined Southeast Missouri State's track coaching staff as a graduate assistant.

Perry, an NCAA Division II outdoor long jump champion in 2005 while at Southern Indiana, will assist head coach Joey Haines with the sprinters and jumpers.

Perry graduated with a degree in general studies from Indiana and is pursuing her master's degree in athletic administration.

Baseball tryoutset for Aug. 28

Southeast baseball coach Mark Hogan will conduct an open tryout Aug. 28 for players who would like to try to earn a spot on the team. The tryout will be 3 p.m. at Capaha Field.
