Redhawks baseball game cancelled
Southeast Missouri State's nonconference home baseball game scheduled for today against Missouri-St. Louis has been cancelled. It will not be made up.
According to Southeast officials, the contest was cancelled at the request of UMSL, which begins play Thursday in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament and would not have had many available pitchers.
Today's game was originally scheduled to be played April 24 but was rained out on that date.
Southeast, 22-27 overall and a sixth-place 13-14 in the 11-team Ohio Valley Conference, returns to action this weekend with its final OVC series of the season.
First-place Tennessee Tech (33-14, 19-5) visits Capaha Field for a three-game set beginning at 5 p.m. Friday.
Southeast ends the regular season with six straight home contests, including a three-game nonconference series against Memphis May 16-18.
