Southeast Missouri State track and field athlete and Jackson High School graduate Blake Smith broke the school record for the 60-meter dash at the Indiana Relays in Bloomingtn, Ind., on Saturday.
Smith finished third in the race in 6.72 seconds to secure the record, which he had previously held.
Gloria Westlake won the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:38.76 while teammate Rebekah Lawson finished third in 17:42.79.
Central High School graduate Chris Martin's jump of 50-feet, 9.5 inches landed him third place in the triple jump.
Southeast travels to Carbondale, Ill., for the SIU Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
