The state-ranked Scott City volleyball team buried Perryville in two games Wednesday to improve to 31-1-3.

The Rams, ranked second in Class 2, were led by Brooke Simpson's five kills and six digs.

Anna Laitinen put down three kills and added six digs, Katie Hogan chipped in with two kill blocks and nine digs, while Katie Diebold tallied five assists and four digs for the Rams.

Samantha Amberger smacked six kills and Shea Leivle added 10 digs for the Pirates (20-11-1).

The game scores were 25-13, 25-15.

JV — Perryville won in three games.

Seckman 21 25 23

The Indians (16-14) knocked off Seckman in three games.

Jill Rushin smacked 13 kills and added two service aces. Mary Ann Bradshaw put down nine kills, Rachel Meyr tallied 30 assists and Katelyn Myracle added 15 digs.

JV — Jackson won in two games.

Courtney Besand smacked five kills and added eight digs to lead the Indians past the Panthers.

Sarah DeWilde put down five kills, Heather Richardet added 19 assists, Maria Lundy tallied 12 digs, and Chelsie Boxdorfer added 11 digs for St. Vincent.

Chelsey Kight put down 11 kills, Courtney Brune recorded 10 kills and Ashley Doublin tallied five kills for Meadow Heights.

Central 3, Saxony Lutheran 0

Andrew Shupert, Josh Compas and Zach Zaruba scored as the Tigers blanked the Crusaders.

CROSS COUNTRY

Advance had two runners place in the top 10 during Tuesday's conference race.

Sophomore Bekah Shrum finished sixth, crossing the line in 24 minutes, 42 seconds.

On the boys side, Grant Gray was seventh in 19:01.

The other Advance runners to score were Cody Vangennip (24th, 21:17), Hunter Shoemaker (30th, 22:12), Kundel Page (32nd, 22:40) and John Middleton (35th, 23:06).
