Jackson Legion prevails

JACKSON, Mo. -- Jackson's Senior Legion team knocked off Perryville 13-9 in the first game of the doubleheader, then was leading 5-3 in the fourth inning of the nightcap when heavy rain caused play to be stopped. That contest will probably not be made up.

Beau Morrison pitched all seven innings for Jackson (6-7) in the opener. Jackson had 10 hits, two each by Morrison, Michael Birk and Matt Gordon. Those three, along with Pat Kohm, all drove in two runs.
