FESTUS, Mo. — The Sikeston tennis team earned a 7-2 victory at Festus on Tuesday, April 11.
“Team came out and played well,” said Sikeston coach Spencer Ayers. “McHaffie and Walton both stepped up and played sharp today.
“Obviously, we still have a lot of work to do,” he continued. “And some tough opponents coming up but it feels really good to have won two matches after no wins and one draw last season.”
The Bulldogs will host Potosi on Wednesday, April 19, and Poplar Bluff on Thursday, April 20.
Sikeston will then host Cpae Central on April 25, Dexter on April 26 and compete in the Farmington Tournament on April 28.
The team will host Notre Dame on May 1 and concluded its regular season at Dexter on May 2.
