MADISON, Ill. -- Southeast Missouri State's David Fulton earned medalist at the 12-team Billiken Intercollegiate Gateway National Tuesday to help Southeast to a second-place finish overall.

Fulton tied with teammate Bryan Johnson and Marquette's Mark Wentz with a two-round total of 147. Fulton, who had rounds of even-par 71 and 5-over 76, won the individual championship in a playoff.

Johnson had rounds of 73 and 74 as the Indians had three golfers in the top 10. Jason Owen finished tied for sixth at 76-74--150. Mark Horn (76-81157) and John Litzelfelner (79-79158) rounded out the team score.

In the team standings, Marquette, with a 597, finished two strokes ahead of Southeast (595). The Indians finished eight strokes ahead of third-place IU-Purdue (607), followed by Indian Hills (609), Eastern Illinois (612), Wisconsin-Green Bay (613), St. Louis University (617), Lindenwood (622), UMKC (622), Missouri Baptist (622), UMSL (629) and Creighton (642).
