Senath-Hornersville 2, Twin Rivers 0
The Twin Rivers Royals took a loss on the road against Senath-Hornersville 2-0. Joshua Lilly opened the game for Twin Rivers Varsity. They surrendered three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Drew Soloman led Twin Rivers with one hit in three at bats.
East Carter 14, Neelyville 0
The Neelyville Tigers continue to struggle at home after taking a loss to East Carter 14-0. Zak Cowley took the loss for Neelyville Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking three. Cowley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Neelyville Varsity Tigers in hits. The Neelyville Tigers will travel to Van Buren on Monday.
GIRLS GOLF
Poplar Bluff 210, Notre Dame 165
The Poplar Bluff Lady Mules golf team came away with a solid win over Notre Dame 210-165. Junior Olivia Thetford shot a 37 for the Lady Mules, and Rhyan Waddell shot a 45. Anna Brooks shot a 62, while LeeAnna Cross shot a 66. The Lady Mules will host Cape Central next Monday
SOFTBALL
Poplar Bluff 8, East Carter 4
The Poplar Bluff Lady Mules softball team won their first home game over East Carter 8-4 on Thursday. Molly Eason earned the win for the Lady Mules. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and four runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking five. Ashtyn Reese and Heaven Werkmeister each collected two hits for Poplar Bluff.
Neelyville 10, Doniphan 0,
The Neelyville Lady Tigers held strong at home to get a clean sweep over the Doniphan Donettes 10-0. September Preslar started in the circle for Neelyville
Varsity Lady Tigers. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out none and walking one. Parker Ernst and Preslar were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for the Lady Tigers.
VOLLEYBALL
Poplar Bluff 3, Kennett 1
The Poplar Bluff Lady Mules got the job done on the road by beating Kennett in four sets 3-1. (25-22, 18-25, 25-18, 25-21). The Lady Mules picked up their third win of the season and hope to keep the momentum going as they host Lesterville (5-9) next Tuesday.
