Tennessee Tech scored in the closing seconds of the first half and that goal held up as the Eaglettes knocked off host Southeast Missouri State University 1-0 Sunday afternoon in a women's college soccer game at Sprigg Street Field.

The Eaglettes improved to 4-11 overall and 2-2 in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Otahkians fell to 1-6-1 overall, 1-1-1 in the OVC.

Maggie Morrow scored with less than 30 seconds left in the opening half and Tech held on for the victory.

Tech goalkeeper Shelby Henry recorded the shutout by making seven saves. Southeast keeper Beth Guccione was forced to make only three saves.

Southeast will return to action next Sunday with a non-conference match at Central Arkansas. The Otahkians will resume OVC play Oct. 19 when they host Tennessee-Martin.
