Butler is third in the 16-team event at 302, with Tennessee State (304) and Eastern Illinois (305) rounding out the top five.

Southeast's Steve Basler shot 69 after 18 holes for the top individual score of the tournament. Jason Owen was in third place with a score of 71. Brian Johnson and John Litzelfelner both shot 75 while David Fulton recorded 80 on the par-72 course.

The tournament will conclude with another 18 holes today.
