SEMO Conference hoops tournament seeds announced

The brackets for the 2023 SEMO Conference boys and girls basketball tournaments have been released.

The Lady Mules were the No. 9 seed on the girls side and will take on New Madrid County Central at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 at NMCC in the play-in game.

The Notre Dame Lady Bulldogs were picked as the top seed as they’ll take on the winner of the Lady Mules and New Madrid County Central at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 28.

The girls basketball SEMO Conference tournament final is scheduled for 8:30 p.n. on Dec. 1.

All games will be played at New Madrid County Central High School.

The Mules were tabbed the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 Jackson at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 at Sikeston High School.

Sikeston was named the top seed on the boys side as they’ll take on the winner of No. 8 Kennett and No. 9 Dexter as those two compete in the play-in game at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 4.

The SEMO Conference boys basketball championship is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 8.

All games will be played at Sikeston High School.

The Mules open the season on Saturday at PBHS when they host Kickapoo at 3:30 p.m.

Will Durden and compny will even have a couple tournaments under their belt as Poplar Bluff plays in the Rolla “Duke” Herbert Classic at Crystal City High School from Nov. 27- Dec. 1 then head to the Black Diamond Harley-Davidson Shootout where they’ll play Kankakee (Ill.).
