Southeast Missouri State University's volleyball team bounced back from Friday night's home loss to Tennessee-Martin by claiming a thrilling five-game victory over visiting Murray State Saturday night.
The Otahkians prevailed 25-30, 30-24, 27-30, 30-27, 15-12 as they improved to 11-9 overall and 7-3 in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Racers fell to 4-17 and 3-8.
Bobbi Carlile powered home 25 kills to lead the Otahkians. Also in double figures were Emily Johnson with 16, Suzanne Gundlach with 15 and Jessica Houpt with 11.
Gundlach led the way in digs with 15. Carlile had 13 while Johnson and Houpt added 11 each. Houpt and Johnson had six and five blocks, respectively, while Emily Scannell recorded 57 assists.
Murray State received 24 kills from Kim Cappa and 21 from Jessica Wood.
