NASHVILLE -- Southeast Missouri State's volleyball team responded from an upset loss to OVC foe Austin Peay on Friday by knocking off OVC opponent Tennessee State in three easy sets on Saturday at Kean Hall.
The Otahkians improved to 8-5 and 1-1 in the OVC with the 15-1, 15-5 and 15-3 victory. Tennessee State dropped to 0-14 overall and 0-5 in the OVC
"We rebounded after (Friday night's) loss with a good team effort today," Southeast coach Cindy Gannon said. "We know we everyone will be up for us, but we have to play relaxed and confident to win."
Krista Haukap led Southeast with 10 kills. Jackie Derwort had seven digs and Amy Henken had 19 assists.
