Southeast Missouri's gymnastics squad posted its highest total of the season Saturday night as it defeated Texas Woman's University 188.825 to 187.650 at Houck Fieldhouse.

Southeast bettered Texas Woman's in three of the four exercises.

Both teams did their best scoring in the vault. Texas Woman's turned in a 48.050 to Southeast's 47.750 in the event. The Otahkians Erin Chenier tied for first with a 9.675.

Southeast more than made up for the difference in the floor exercise with a 47.425 to Texas Woman's 46.550. Malia Roberts and Kristin Frohlich finished first in the event with 9.725 scores.

In the beam, Southeast held a slight edge at 47.125 to 47.050. Chenier again tied for first in the event with Texas Woman's Kim Koeing at 9.700.

Southeast posted a 46.525 total in the bars to Texas Woman's 46.000. Frohlich won the event with a 9.525.
