Susan Beth Scott of Cape Girardeau won the 100-meter freestyle Saturday at the 2011 Can Am Paralympic Swimming National Championships in Minneapolis.

Scott won in a time of 1 minute, 1.71 seconds to upset world record holder and defending world champion Summer Mortimer of Canada.

Scott won the 400 freestyle with a Pan American record time of 4:33:54 on Thursday. She placed second in the 100 backstroke Friday in an American record 1:11:20. She also placed third in the 50 freestyle.

Scott, a member of the U.S. National Paralympic Swim Team since 2006, will represent the U.S. at the Pan Pacific Championships in Edmonton, Canada, in August.
