CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Cape Central dropped the first five matches of the night -- two by forfeit -- as the Tigers fell to 0-2 in duel meets.
The Tigers rallied by winning five of the next six matches, but Carbondale closed the match with three wins in the heavier weight classes.
"We don't quite have everyone where we want everyone, but everyone is working hard and we are seeing improvement," said Cape Central coach Josh Crowell. "Like I tell the kids, we're in a marathon and not a sprint. We've got a lot of wrestling ahead of us."
