SCOTT CITY -- Scott City senior Sarah Glenn recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Lindenwood College, am NAIA school in St. Charles.
Glenn, a 5-foot-3 guard, was a two-year starter for two 20-win teams at Scott City. She's also a two-time all-conference selection and the president of her senior class.
"Sarah's the type of kid that makes a coach want to come to practice," said Scott City girls basketball coach Randall White. "She works as hard as she possibly can and had a tremendous attitude."
This past season for the 20-6 Lady Rams, Glenn averaged 3.4 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. She also shot 65 percent from the free-throw line.
"Sarah's numbers aren't eye-popping, but she set the tone for us defensively," White said. "She's an extremely good defensive player. She won the (team's) defensive award both years she was on the varsity."
