Scott City's volleyball team won two tight games from host Central on Tuesday night, prevailing 25-22, 26-24 to improve to 17-10-2.

Kacie Cartwright had seven kills and 15 digs to lead the Rams. Ashton Phillips had eight digs and Amanda Raines added seven assists.

Chelsey Oliver had nine kills and 15 digs for the Tigers (5-19-4). Stephanie Clark had nine digs and Tasha Valleroy added seven assists

Central's JV won 25-3, 18-25, 25-20.

Advance 25-25, Oak Ridge 9-14

Dana Williams' 10 kills led Advance at home in its 25th win of the season.

Nicole Tropf had nine kills, four blocks and seven digs, and Alicia Broshius had nine assists for the Hornets (25-5).

Advance's JV (17-8) finished its season with a 25-8, 25-20 win.

Leopold 25-25, Puxico 20-11

Leopold warmed up for Thursday's match against top-ranked Notre Dame with a home sweep of Puxico.

Wendy Vandeven had 11 assists, Amber Nenninger seven kills and seven blocks, Tasha Thele 11 digs and Toni Eftink five aces for Leopold, 21-4 and No. 6 in the SEMO Top 10. Puxico is 19-6-2.

Puxico's JV won 23-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Perryville 18-25-25, St. Vincent 25-17-18

Visiting Perryville won a rivalry meeting at St. Vincent's gym.

Lisa Pecaut had 11 assists, Kaci Schremp had six kills and Stephanie Landholt had four kills for Perryville (16-13-2). Kelsey Kutz had five kills, Allison Prost had six kills and Miranda Weinkein had seven assists for St. Vincent (5-18-5).

Perryville's JV (9-12-4) finished its season with a win.

Meadow Heights 25-25, Marquand 6-13

Cheslea Bollinger had seven kills and Jenna Ellis five kills to lead Meadow Heights at home.

Jasmine Sewell had nine service points.

Meadow Heights' JV beat Saxony Lutheran 25-15, 25-16.

Oran 28-25, Charleston 26-20

The Eagles won their final regular-season match at home to improve to 8-18-2. Amber Seyer had nine kills, Amber Walter had 15 assists, and Courtney Nenninger had five kills for Oran.

Oran's JV (13-6) completed its season with a 25-6, 25-19 win.

CROSS COUNTRY

Saxony, Meadow Heights post wins at Advance

Saxony Lutheran's boys and Meadow Heights' girls won titles at a meet hosted by Advance.

Fifth-place Kory Mueller (19:16) and sixth-place Trey Maevers (19:17) led Saxony Lutheran, which held a 23-point edge over runnerup Oak Ridge.

Melinda Schoen (22:55) of Oak Ridge won the girls event.

JV SOCCER

Central Tournament

Notre Dame's JV soccer team defeated Carbondale, Ill., 2-0 behind goals from Abe Dirnberger and Richard Marquart in the Central JV Tournament. Dirnberger and Jack Wedemeier had assists. Nathan Kolda delivered the shutout.

Central got two goals from Cole Crist and one apiece from Eddie Glenn and Lance Altenthal in a 4-1 win over Poplar Bluff. Altenthal, Tyson Whiteside and Sam Bornstein had assists.

Jackson beat Kennett 10-0 with three goals from Andrew Schlick and two apiece from Chris Shelton, Cory Murphy and Andrew Lorenz.

In the other game, Sikeston defeated Farmington 7-0.

The event will conclude Thursday with the championship (Central vs. Notre Dame) and third place (Carbondale vs. Poplar Bluff) on adjacent fields at 5:30 p.m., with fifth (Jackson vs. Sikeston) and seventh (Kennett vs. Farmington) played at 4.

All final-round games will be at the Shawnee Park Sports Complex.
