MORLEY, Mo. -- Scott City broke a two-game losing streak as it mounted a strong second-half charge to overtake Scott County Central 68-61 Tuesday night.
Ben Sample paced Scott City (6-4) with 19 points while Nick Steimle had 18 points and 11 rebounds. Craig Jungers added 10 points.

The teams battled to a 33-33 halftime tie, but Scott County reeled off the first nine points of the third quarter for a 42-33 advantage.
