Lindsey Schumer pitched a complete game and allowed just two hits as the Perryville softball recorded its first win of the season with a 7-1 home victory against St. Pius on Thursday.
Perryville (1-1), which had 10 hits overall, got two hits apiece from Rebecca Hanquist,
Emily Hanquist, Alyssa Bauwens and Sasha Brickhaus. Bauwens had a double and a triple, Rebecca Hanquist had a triple, and Emily Hanquist finished with a double and three RBIs.

Chaffee pitcher Sarah Benton carried a perfect game into the bottom of the fifth before surrendering a walk and a hit in the inning as Chaffee posted its first victory of the season in the road contest.
Benton struck out eight and gave up just one hit for the Red Devils (1-2).
Veronica Bennett went 3-for-4, including two triples and had two RBIs. Shelby Ancell had a double and also drove in two. Medelyn Kiefer had a double with one RBI, as did Rachel Hendrix.

On Saturday, Central will host Parkway West at 9:30 a.m. and Parkway Central at 1:30 p.m.
