NEW HAVEN, Mo. — Scott County Central and Oran competed in the MSHSAA Class 1, Sectional 1 Track and Field Meet at New Haven High School on Saturday, May 13.

The top four finishers from each event advance to the MSHSAA Track and Field Championships beginning May 19 at Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City, Missouri.

SCC’s Namarius Warren was second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.39 seconds. He was also second in the 200 and 400 in 23.27 and 53.00, respectively.

The Braves’ Gavyn Woods was third in the 300 hurdles with a time of 45.27.

Oran’s Ryan Burke was third in the 800 with a time of 2:09.70.

Hayti won the boys’ division with 102 points, SCC was eighth with a team score of 33 and Oran was 22nd with six points.

Silex won the girls’ division with a team score of 110, while SCC was 22nd with nine points.
