CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Scott County Central and Oran each had multiple strong showings at the MSHSAA Class 1, District 1 Meet at Notre Dame High School on Saturday, with several securing spots in the upcoming Sectional Meet.

Scott County Central's Narmarius Banks-Warren soared to victory in the high jump, clearing 5 feet 10 inches.

Banks-Warren also showcased his speed, placing second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.47 seconds and also claiming silver in the 400 with a time of 52.87.

Teammate Courtney Sanders also impressed, finishing third in the 100 (11.98) and fourth in both the 200 (24.14) and the long jump (18-8).

SCC's Jaden Arnold demonstrated strength in the field events, placing third in the javelin with a throw of 119-03.0.

Isabella Sutton added a fourth-place finish in the 300 hurdles with a time of 57.22, while the Bravettes' 400 relay team secured second place with a time of 56.69.

For Oran, the boys' 3,200 relay team earned a third-place finish at 10:11.54.

The Class 1 Sectional Meet will take place at South Callaway High School on Saturday, May 11.
