FESTUS, Mo. -- The Saxony Lutheran boys basketball team saw a 30-25 halftime lead evaporate in the third quarter as the Crusaders fell to St. Pius 60-44 on Friday.
St. Pius scored the first seven points after halftime and outscored Saxony Lutheran 19-6 in the third to take control of the game.
"We played a really good first half," Saxony Lutheran coach Tim Winkler said. "After that, we kind of let them take it to us."
Gabe Bohnert had 17 points and nine rebounds for the Crusaders (2-7), while Jake Lake added 12 points, nine rebounds and seven blocked shots.
