The Southeast Missouri State football program announced three more signings Friday, two days after the Redhawks landed 22 players on the opening day of the signing period.
Friday's additions are junior college transfers. They join Wednesday's batch that featured 13 high school seniors, eight junior college transfers and one Football Bowl Subdivision transfer.
Ben Fulghum and Spencer Hilley are offensive linemen from Butler County Community College in Kansas. Both earned first-team all-Jayhawk Conference and all-Region VI honors last season. Fulghum is 6 foot 3 and 288 pounds, while Hilley is a 6-3, 305-pounder.
Butler CC has been ranked as the No. 1 junior college football program since 2000. The Grizzlies have won three national championships and made two other national title game appearances this decade.
Friday's other signee is defensive lineman Joe Malolo, a two-year starter at Los Medanos (Calif.) College. The 6-foot, 265-pounder registered 80 tackles, 12 sacks and 18 tackles for loss during his juco career.
Southeast's current 25-member recruiting class is the second-largest under coach Tony Samuel, who will be entering his sixth season.
Samuel said Southeast still could sign a few more players before fall practice begins in August.
Southeast will hold walk-on tryouts Feb. 7 through 11. Tryouts are open to any currently enrolled Southeast students.
Interested students should report to the Rosengarten Athletic Complex on one of the four tryout dates. They must bring a copy of their unofficial Southeast transcript, NCAA eligibility center ID number, high school game film (if available) and unofficial high school transcript and test score.
Kickers and long snappers are encouraged to participate.
