DEXTER — The Kennett High School girls tennis team rolled to its fourth consecutive win to open the 2023 season, beating Dexter 7-2 on the road.
Claire Bean and Handley McAtee both won their singles matches by 8-0 outcomes.
Olivia Rebstock and Emory Kamper each picked up wins for Kennett at No. 3 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
The Indians swept the doubles matches, with Rebstock and Kamper winning 8-6 at
No. 2 doubles. Jady Quinn and Shirley Swafford also won their match, 8-6, at No. 3 doubles.
Kennett competes in a tournament setting the remainder of the week. The Indians travel to the Sikeston Individual Tournament today, and they participate in the
Cape Central Team Doubles Tournament Friday — before their next home match on Sept. 12 versus Cape Notre Dame.
