Grant Ressel earned the respect of the Big 12 Conference coaches in his first season as Missouri's place-kicker.
The former Jackson High School kicker was named to the all-Big 12 first team by the league's coaches Tuesday.
Ressel leads the nation in field goal accuracy (among those with at least 11 attempts) at 96 percent. The sophomore has hit 24 of his 25 attempts, including the game-winner against Kansas on Saturday.
The all-Big 12 award was the second time Ressel was honored this week. He also was named the Big 12's special teams player of the week after going 4 for 4 on field goals against Kansas on Saturday.
Ressel won the kicking job during preseason drills and has hit all 38 extra-point tries this season.
