Renfrow gets win as Redhawks top Cleveland State

Junior Dustin Renfrow allowed four hits and one unearned run Saturday as Southeast Missouri State defeated Cleveland State 3-1 in the first of a two-game set.

The teams meet again today at 1 p.m. as the Redhawks (5-2) try to get off to their best start since 2000.

Renfrow struck out six before being relieved. Ivan Nails picked up the save by recording the final out with the bases loaded.

Freshman Jim Klocke had a two-run double in the second inning to put Southeast ahead 2-0. Omar Padilla drove in Matt Wulfers in the seventh inning.

Nick Harris and Dustin Pritchett each had two hits.
