The Southeast Missouri State soccer team concluded exhibition play Sunday with a 1-0 victory against the University of Missouri-St. Louis at Houck Stadium.

Southeast junior Ashley Runion scored the game's lone goal on a breakaway in the 14th minute after taking a pass from Hayley Abbott.

The Redhawks held a 15-4 shot advantage in the game. UMSL goalkeeper Hanna Sayre made eight saves, while Southeast goalkeeper Kaitlyn Smugala was not required to make a save.

The win evened Southeast's preseason record at 1-1, while UMSL dropped to 0-1 in the preseason.

Southeast opens its regular season Friday against Indiana State at 7 p.m. at Houck.
