~ A 9-0 rout of EKU helped Southeast win all three weekly awards.

Southeast Missouri State's record-setting victory Sunday helped the Redhawks sweep the Ohio Valley Conference women's soccer awards for this week.

The Redhawks, who won at Eastern Kentucky 9-0 to set an OVC record for margin of victory in a conference game, also posted a 3-2 win at Morehead State Friday.

For their performances in helping Southeast get off to a 2-0 conference start, Ashley Runion was named the offensive player of the week, Megan McGrath was named the defensive player of the week and Lindsay Pickering is the goalkeeper of the week.

Runion, a freshman forward, had four goals and two assists in the two wins, including three goals and two assists against EKU. She leads the Redhawks with six goals.

McGrath, a junior defender, guided a Southeast defensive unit that allowed only two goals and limited Morehead to four shots despite the Redhawks playing a man short for much of the second half. She also scored two goals against EKU.

Pickering, a senior, made 13 saves in the two games. The shutout against EKU was her third of the season and 23rd of her career, which makes her the OVC's all-time leader in shutouts.
