Alabama transfer Jasmine Robinson was named the Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week after the Southeast Missouri senior guard averaged 12.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists last week.

"It's a great honor for Jasmine and also our program to have her as Newcomer of the Week in the Ohio Valley Conference," Southeast coach Ty Margenthaler said in a news release. "She has been able to contribute in scoring and she's also been doing a great job in rebounding, which is a tribute to the hard work she has been putting in. Her experience is helping our team win on the road and has helped us gain momentum heading into conference play."

Southeast extended a winning streak to three games with victories at Missouri-Kansas City on Wednesday and against Detroit on Saturday in the Glass City Classic in Toledo, Ohio.

Robinson had 18 points and 12 rebounds against Detroit for her first double-double at Southeast.

Robinson scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds against UMKC. She finished had eight points, four boards, two assists and a steal in a streak-ending loss to Idaho on Sunday.

Robinson leads Southeast with 11.7 points and 2.5 assists per game. She also averages 4.7 rebounds and 1.4 steals.
