The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team found out Tuesday the starting time for its next game.

The Redhawks will open play in the Women's National Invitiation Tournament on Thursday at 7:35 p.m. in Evansville, Ind.

Southeast, which won the regular-season title in the Ohio Valley Conference, faces the University of Evansville at the PAC Arena.

Evansville went 20-11 and finished as co-champions in the Missouri Valley Conference. It will be the seventh meeting between the teams, with the Redhawks boasting a 4-2 edge. The teams last played each other during the 1993-94 season.

Softball

Rain forced the cancellation of Tuesday's softball game between Southeast and Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Ill.

The game will not be rescheduled.

The Redhawks will resume conference play Saturday, when they play two games at Tennessee Tech.
