Southeast carries a 3-2 conference mark into Friday's game at Tennessee Tech.

The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team rallied to force a fifth game but fell on the road at Eastern Illinois on Wednesday.

The Redhawks fell to 3-2 in Ohio Valley Conference play and 6-10 overall. EIU improved to 5-0 in OVC play and 9-4 overall.

Southeast won the opening game 30-22, but dropped the next two 30-22 and 30-23. The Redhawks forced a fifth game with a 30-18 win in game four, but fell 15-9 in the deciding game.

Brittany Hastings led the Redhawks with 18 kills. Jackson graduate Jessica Koeper added 17 kills, and Jill Miller finished with 14. Jamie Baumstark had 57 assists and added 13 digs.

Lauren Scannell was the dig leader with 23. Koeper had 19 and Miller had 17.

Southeast continues OVC play on Friday at Tennessee Tech.
