MARTIN, Tenn. -- Southeast Missouri State split a softball doubleheader at Tennessee-Martin on Saturday as the Redhawks remained ninth in the 10-team Ohio Valley Conference.

The Redhawks won the opener 3-1 and lost the nightcap 4-2. The squads will complete their three-game series at 1 p.m. today.

In the first game, Southeast (14-25, 6-13) was led by the pitching of Elaine Fisher, who allowed seven hits.

Southeast banged out 11 hits, including a home run from Lindsay Pickering, who had two hits and two RBIs. Megan McDonald led the Redhawks with three hits.

Tennessee-Martin (24-26, 10-8) pinned the second-game loss on Fisher, who allowed three runs and three hits in 2 2/3 innings of relief. Starter Lauren Bradley gave up an unearned run and six hits in 3 1/3 innings.

Michelle Summers homered and had two RBIs for the Redhawks. Stephanie Mata and Stacia Dopudja both had two of Southeast's seven hits.
