SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- The Southeast Missouri State softball team lost both its games Saturday at the Blues City Classic.
Southeast fell to host Memphis 3-1, then was routed by Evansville 16-4 in five innings.
The Redhawks (4-5) are 1-3 in the tournament, after splitting two games Friday.
Elaine Fisher was the tough-luck loser against Memphis, allowing five hits and no earned runs. She struck out seven and walked one.
Southeast managed just three hits, including Megan McDonald's second home run of the tournament and fourth of the season.
The Redhawks had six hits against Evansville. Michelle Summers delivered three hits, including a home run, while McDonald added two hits.
Whitney Dupuis gave up six hits and nine runs in four innings for the loss. She walked seven.
Southeast concludes play in the six-team event today, facing Alabama A&M at 10 a.m.
