Southeast Missouri State track and field teams shined during Friday's annual Redhawks Invitational, their only home meet of the indoor season.

The Redhawks won 11 of the 24 events in the competition held at the Student Recreation Center.

Three Southeast athletes won multiple titles, led by senior Ashley Brewer.

Brewer swept the shot put and weight throw. Her throw of 49 feet, 4 1/2 inches in the shot set a new indoor personal best and surpassed the NCAA provisional mark. She just missed another provisional mark in the weight throw, but her toss of 59-8 1/4 set a new career best.

Junior Rachel Kahle from Jackson won the long jump (18-3) and 300 meters (40.44 seconds). She was second in the 55 meters with a career-best 7.05.

Junior Tyler Terry, a Central graduate, won the long jump (24-4 1/4) and triple jump (46-9). Both were season-best distances.

Junior Josh Uchtman won his fifth shot put title of the season (59-4 3/4), again surpassing the NCAA provisional mark. He was also fourth in the weight throw.

Senior Brandon Colbert broke his own school record by placing second in the weight throw (66-7 1/4). Steffen Nerdal of Memphis set a Recreation Center record (74-1/4) and automatically qualified for the NCAA indoor championships.

Colbert placed second behind Uchtman in the shot put.

Sophomore Max Weiser, a Saxony Lutheran graduate, won the 600 (1:25.28) to round out the Southeast men's winners.
